Not too long ago, Realme made its brand-new Realme 16 Pro series official in India. Now, it looks like the brand is prepping a new member of the family, the standard Realme 16. However, the smartphone may not launch first in India, as an accidental retailer listing in Vietnam has confirmed key details of the phone.
Realme 16 launch is imminent
One of the biggest e-commerce sites in Vietnam, The Gioididong, has prematurely listed the Realme 16 5G specs, design and other details ahead of any official confirmation. As per that, Realme will launch the phone by the end of January 2026 and go on sale starting February 2, 2026.

One of the striking elements of the phone is its design, as it has taken a radical shift when compared to the Realme 15. The phone does not even follow the design statement of the Realme 16 Pro and the Realme 16 Pro+ in the family. Now, there's a horizontally aligned camera bar at the top, much like Google Pixel phones. It features a flat footprint and the bezels around the display look thin and uniform.
However, the most unique aspect of this new look is the rear embedded selfie mirror, which is located inside the camera deco. This is said to allow users to conveniently make use of the listed 50 MP + 2 MP rear camera setup for selfies. Meanwhile, at the front, there's a 50 MP selfie shooter to make use of as well.

As for the other details, there is a mention of a 6.57-inch 120 Hz AMOLED display with 4,500 nits of peak brightness, which is backed by AGC DT-Star D+ shield glass protection. As per the listing, the phone itself will be quite durable with an IP66 + IP68 + IP69 + IP69K rating.
For performance, the smartphone is expected to rely on the Dimensity 6400 Turbo chipset, which could be just a slightly overclocked variant of the Dimensity 6400. It could run on Realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16 out of the box. The listing also reveals a 7,000mAh battery inside with 60W fast USB-C charging support.

Apart from that, the Realme 16 5G is listed to arrive with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, an infrared sensor and a USB-C port. The phone is also said to be available in the 8 GB + 256 GB and 12 GB + 256 GB configurations and come in the Air Black and Air White colourways.
That said, at the time of writing, there is no confirmation from the brand yet. However, given that the phone has suffered such a massive leak, expect official details to arrive shortly.
