Realme has officially unveiled Realme UI 7.0, its newest iteration of Realme UI based on Android 16. The new software will make its global debut later this month on the upcoming Realme GT 8 Pro flagship smartphone.
Realme UI 7.0 takes heavy inspiration from iOS 26
The new OS is a major redesign and introduces a Light Glass Design that brings transparency, depth and fluid animations to phones. Some of the signature changes and additions to the new UI include Ice Cube Icons, Misty Glass Control Centre and a Breathing Dock.

Customisation is a major focus. Just like Oxygen OS 16 features, Realme UI 7.0 brings Flux Theme 2.0. This adds new themes that users can set, including panoramic views for the Always on Display. It also brings new fingerprint unlock animations. As part of Flux Themes, Realme UI 7.0 will also allow users to set Live Photos and Videos as wallpapers with AI-generated depth effects.
Like most Chinese manufacturers this year who have worked on improving the cross-device connectivity with Apple, Realme follows suit. Realme UI 7.0 will bring the ability to connect with an Apple Watch or an iPhone to help users sync their health data from an Apple Watch directly to their devices.

The new release also integrates AI into the software with things like AI Notify Brief, which reduces notification spam and summarises them for you in the morning. Besides, there AI Framing Master, which helps you take better photos, similar to Pixel's Camera Coach feature. Lastly, there's an AI Gaming Coach that gives real-time insights during gameplay to help users improve.
Under the hood, the optimised Flux Engine promises a 15% boost in system responsiveness, 29% smoother scrolling and a 22% improvement in daily performance. A new multi-task sidebar offers quick access to apps and tools.
The upcoming Realme GT 8 Pro will be the first to arrive with Realme UI 7.0 out of the box. The update will begin rolling out to older models, including the Realme GT 7 Pro, starting in November 2025, i.e., this month.

With the Open Beta roadmap already out for a considerable number of devices, the stable update should drop by the end of 2025. Stay tuned as we will cover any future additions or changes in the UI.
