Realme has officially started teasing the Neo 8 smartphone for China. The brand has given us a glimpse into its design as well as the firepower it will pack. Now, a new Geekbench listing has surfaced online, further adding weight to that.
Realme Neo 8 is getting the new Qualcomm SoC
The revelation comes straight from the tipster Anvin on X, who managed to spot and report on the Realme Neo 8 Geekbench listing. The smartphone has appeared with the realme RMX8899 model number. It has managed to achieve 2,876 points in the single-core test, with 9,245 points in the multi-core test. It has also revealed the presence of 16 GB RAM and Android 16.

As for the processor, the listing mentions an octa-core chipset with 2 cores clocked at 3.80 Hz and 6 cores clocked at 3.32 GHz. Given how familiar the CPU architecture is, there is no doubt that we are looking at the new flagship killer Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor. This means that the GPU is going to be the Adreno 829 one.
This does not come as a surprise since a few days back, the official Realme Weibo account confirmed Realme Neo 8 with Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. It even revealed that the smartphone has been able to achieve 3.58 million marks on AnTuTu benchmarks.

So, in terms of performance, the Realme Neo 8 is sorted. Even the design of the Neo 8 will help it stand out with a semi-transparent back panel, an electric Purple hue and a unique LED strip light. The camera module draws heavy inspiration from the Realme GT 8 Pro. However, unlike that, it is not detachable or swappable.
Aside from that, nothing else is formally known at this time. Early leaks and rumours point to a 6.78-inch 1.5K 165 Hz OLED display, an 8,000mAh battery, a 50 MP telephoto camera with 120X digital zoom and Realme UI 7.0. Given that Realme has started teasing the phone, expect a late January 2026 launch window.
