The Redmi K80 Ultra, aka the Redmi K80 Extreme Edition is expected to launch in China later in June 2025 itself. However, ahead of launch, the brand has now confirmed quite a few of the upcoming flagship's key specifications.
Redmi took to its official Weibo handle to reveal that the upcoming device will come in the Spruce Green, Ice Blue, Tsukiiwa White and Sandstone Gray colour options (as translated from Chinese). Additionally, the brand has also confirmed the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset for the Redmi K80 Ultra. This processor will be accompanied by a 6500mm2 vapour chamber cooling system and a dedicated D2 display chip.

Talking about the display, the phone will feature a 6.83-inch 144Hz OLED Huaxing M9 flat display with a peak brightness of 3,200 nits. Additionally, leaker Experiencemore on Weibo states that this panel will pack a resolution of 2772 x 1280 pixels.
He also reveals that the regular and high brightness mode levels will be set at 800 nits and 1800 nits, respectively. The leaker also states that the Redmi K80 Ultra's display will be protected by Dragon Crystal Glass and sport an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner for security. A dual speaker setup is also said to accompany the display.
Surrounding this display will be a "curved wrapped metal mid-frame" and "glass fiber backplate", the brand confirms. Meanwhile, adding to this, the latest leak reveals that the phone will measure 163.08 x 77.93 x 8.18mm and weigh 219 grams.

The brand also gives us a closer look at the camera module which houses a dual camera setup. While the sensors aren't confirmed, leaks suggest the primary sensor to be a 1/1.55-inch 50 MP OV Light Fusion 800 sensor. Additionally, the secondary sensor is said to be an 8 MP OmniVision OV08F sensor. At the front, the device is rumoured to use a 20 MP OV20B sensor.
Further, the Redmi K80 Ultra will pack a big 7,410mAh battery with 100W fast charging support. As for connectivity options, the device is said to include USB 2.0, infrared as well as NFC.
For now, this is all that is known about the upcoming Redmi flagship. However, with the expected China launch being right around the corner, we do expect to hear more about the device from the brand in the coming days.
