Back in August 2026, Xiaomi launched the Redmi 17C 5G in Singapore as an affordable model under the "Redmi 17" lineup. Now, it's time for the smartphone to reach Indian shores, as Xiaomi confirms the phone's exact launch date in the subcontinent.
Redmi 17C 5G India Launch Date Announced
The official Xiaomi India website has confirmed that the Redmi 17C 5G will debut in India on October 1, 2026, at 12:00 PM IST. An Amazon microsite for the smartphone is also live, confirming the phone's place of availability.
Redmi 17C 5G will be sold in three colour options: Dark Night, Coffee Brew and Purple Dawn. The Coffee Brew is the one to look out for as it comes in a vegan leather back panel. Aside from that, the smartphone will feature a squircle camera deco at the back and a waterdrop-notched display at the front.

Alongside the design and launch date, Xiaomi has also confirmed several of the key details for the Redmi 17C 5G. The smartphone will feature a 6.9-inch 120 Hz LCD display with HD+ (1600 x 720) resolution.
Under the hood, the phone will draw its power from the Dimensity 6300 chipset and will feature a 6,000mAh battery onboard. There will also be a 50 MP main camera for photos and videos.
Aside from that, Xiaomi has not made any other official details yet. From the looks of it, the Indian unit of the Redmi 17C 5G will be identical to the Singaporean version.
Hence, we can expect the smartphone to additionally bring specs like LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage, 33W fast charging and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. However, we will know for sure once the phone launches next week. So, stay tuned.
