Ahead of the Redmi Note 17 and Note 17 Pro China launch on July 14, 2026, details about the regular model's Indian variants and colour options have surfaced online.
Redmi Note 17 India Variant Details Leaked
Tipster Abhishek Yadav took to X to reveal that the base configuration of the Redmi Note 17 5G heading to India will feature 6 GB of RAM paired with 128 GB of internal storage.
Additionally, the tipster also revealed that Redmi is expected to introduce higher RAM and storage configurations as well. Further, we get to know that the smartphone will initially be available in two colour options – Blue and Dark Night.

Redmi Note 17: What We Know so Far
The Redmi Note 17 design was recently revealed by the brand, confirming a massive design refresh. Instead of a centre-aligned squircle camera module that the Redmi Note 15 sported, the next-generation model will house dual rear cameras and an LED flash in a cleaner module pushed to the left edge.
As for the Redmi Note 17 specifications, it is confirmed to sport a massive 7-inch 120 Hz 1.5K OLED display and an enormous 8,000mAh battery. Under the hood, the phone will reportedly run on a Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset, supported by a 50 MP primary camera sensor and dual stereo speakers.

Meanwhile, the more premium Redmi Note 17 Pro will pack a 9,000mAh battery with 67W charging speeds. For optics, the phone will use a 50 MP main rear camera as well. There's also an added focus on durability, with the phone sporting IP67/68/69/69K ratings for dust and water resistance. Under the hood, the phone is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset.
As for the launch date, following Redmi's cadence, the smartphone's India launch could follow a few months after the initial China unveiling. More concrete information on pricing and specifications may arrive soon, so stay tuned.
