After a long wait, the Samsung Galaxy A37 5G has launched in India alongside the more expensive Galaxy A57 5G. With roughly a 27% price increment, the Galaxy A37 5G offers mostly the same specifications as last year's Galaxy A36. However, you do get the latest Android version and better performance.

The Samsung Galaxy A37 5G features the same 6.7-inch Full HD+ 120 Hz Super AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 1,200 nits as its predecessor, the Galaxy A36. It also offers the same Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection on top, but a slightly improved IP68 rating (up from IP67 on the A36).
Under the hood, the Galaxy A37 5G is powered by the Exynos 1480 chipset, which is a better performer than the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 powering the previous generation. The phone also offers up to 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.
On the software front, the phone runs on Android 16-based One UI 8.5 out of the box, backed with a promise of 6 years of major OS updates and security patches.
For photos and videos, the Samsung Galaxy A37 5G features the same 50 MP primary rear camera, paired with an 8 MP ultrawide and a 5 MP macro lens. At the front as well, it retains the same 12 MP selfie shooter of its predecessor.
The phone also packs a 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging support, which also remains the same as the Galaxy A36. Connectivity options remain the same, with the smartphone supporting dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS and GLONASS.
