However, the cameras are average at best, but they do support 4K 60 FPS videos from both front and back sensors. Flagship-grade performance, a two-day battery and premium build at a mid-range price make it a no-brainer for most people. The cameras and HyperOS 3 still need work, but neither is a dealbreaker. The OnePlus Nord 6 is a performance-focused mid-range phone that excels where it matters the most. The chipset handles everything effortlessly and the display is among the smoothest and sharpest in the segment. The battery life comfortably stretches to two days, while the software feels clean, fluid, and future-proof. The Samsung's Galaxy S24 is a flagship-level package you can get for the price of a mid-ranger. It has a reliable camera setup, great display, decent performance and a solid update policy. But since it's a compact phone, the battery life and charging speeds are not the best. If that doesn’t bother you, this might be your best bet in the segment.

The Nothing Phone (3) is a bold and distinctive smartphone with its quirky Glyph Matrix feature, but the charm fades rather quickly. The Oppo Reno 13 Pro is the ideal Android phone if you are always on-the-go and looking for a good set of cameras. The steep price isn’t doing Oppo any favours but it clicks good shots consistently that you can view on a bright and vibrant display for more than a day. And if you always forget to charge your phone, it can juice up pretty quickly. The Reno 13 Pro is not a performance monster by any means, but it gets the job done and looks good.

The Vivo V40 Pro packs a punch for a reasonable price. It stands out with its performance-focused hardware, great battery and Zeiss cameras. However, it fails to deliver a good media experience because of unoptimised HDR and underwhelming speakers. While it's a good purchase overall, you will get better value for money options in this segment.

The Pixel 9a wasn’t happy with its name and Google decided to rebadge it as the Pixel 10a. That’s all the 10a is, featuring the same chipset, cameras and design as the 9a. While the display is brighter and tougher, there’s not much going here to recommend the Pixel 10a over its predecessor. If you want the basic premium Pixel experience in a future-proof phone, the 10a is alright. For anything more, there are far better options in the segment.
