There's been no shortage of leaks around the Galaxy S26 launch date. However, the picture only started to come into focus recently, when prominent tipster Ice Universe pointed to a February 25 launch of the series. Now, another reliable source has stepped in to back up that exact date, further strengthening the case for a late-February Galaxy Unpacked event.
Galaxy S26 launch date most likely set for February 25
We already knew that the Galaxy S26 launch could be delayed this year. Now, reliable tipster Evan Blass took to X to state that the expected February 25, 2026, launch date of the Galaxy S26 series is "100% correct" and we can "take it to the bank."

Blass has had an excellent track record so far and so has the original leaker, Ice Universe. With two such prominent leakers backing the date, it seems more likely than ever now.
Apart from that, we already know that the Galaxy S26 lineup could include the regular Samsung Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus and Galaxy S26 Ultra. Earlier rumours hinted at the Galaxy S26 Edge replacing the Plus, but recent reports suggest Samsung is sticking with its familiar formula this year.
As for what's under the hood, reports indicate that Samsung may once again split chipsets by region. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to feature Qualcomm's latest and greatest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, while the standard and Plus models could use Samsung Exynos 2600 in select markets.
Additionally, AI-driven features are also expected to play a major role. While Samsung has yet to officially confirm the Galaxy S26 launch date, the growing buzz around February 25 makes it increasingly difficult to ignore. If the leak holds true, the phones could be available by early March 2026.
Recent reports also suggest that the Galaxy S26 price could get a hike this year, courtesy of the hefty RAM price increase lately. Sadly, the Samsung phone price hike is only getting worse as existing Galaxy M, F and A series phones are also seeing an increase in price.
With that said, expect Samsung to reveal a concrete launch date anytime soon, so stay tuned.
