The Samsung Galaxy S26 series is shaping up to be an interesting lineup. From device discontinuation to product name confusion, the leaks have been all over the place. Now, new information suggests that Samsung's upcoming flagship lineup may launch later than expected.
Samsung Galaxy S26 series may launch as late as March 2026
According to tipster Ice Universe, Samsung is reportedly looking to skip the usual January 2026 launch window for the Galaxy S26 lineup. While the leaker has not revealed the exact launch date or the month of launch, Russian tech publication TechManiacs believe that the delay could very well translate to a March 2026 launch.

Now, while this might seem unlikely for Samsung, it is definitely not uncommon. Both the Galaxy S22 lineup and the Galaxy S23 series launched in the month of February. So, a delay in launch by a month or two is not too strange, especially after the fact that the Galaxy S26 series went through a major reshuffle.
An earlier report claimed that the Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge has been discontinued. This is believed to be a last-minute decision as a result of poor sales of the Galaxy S25 Edge.

Moreover, recent rumours also suggest that the Galaxy S26 Pro will not launch. Hence, it is understandable that the brand will require a few extra months to finalise the next Galaxy lineup.
So, the upcoming Galaxy S26 series could very well include the usual "Galaxy S" series contenders – Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ and the Galaxy S26 Ultra. That said, at the time of writing, nothing has been made official. So, take this development with a grain of salt.
We will be sure to report on something more concrete as and when they appear. Hence, we advise all to wait for the actual launch event date to go official before jumping to any conclusions.
