Looks like our worst nightmares are coming true, as Samsung has reportedly revised the pricing of several mid-range smartphones in India. The updated Samsung phone price hikes are said to be taking effect from January 5, 2026.
Samsung Galaxy A, Galaxy F and Galaxy M series
The development comes after an internal pricing document was leaked by reliable tipster Abhishek Yadav on X.

As per the leak, the Galaxy A56 5G has received the steepest increase, with all variants seeing a Rs 2,000 price hike. The base 8 GB + 128 GB model is said to be priced at Rs 40,999, up from Rs 38,999. Meanwhile, the 8 GB + 256 GB and 12 GB + 256 GB variants are priced at Rs 43,999 and Rs 46,999, respectively.
In addition, the Galaxy A36 5G has become costlier by Rs 1,500 across variants, pushing prices up to Rs 38,499 for the top-end variant. On the other hand, the Galaxy F17 5G has seen a Rs 1,000 increase, with revised prices starting at Rs 15,499.
Further, the document reveals that several Galaxy M series phones have also received price revisions. Models including the Galaxy M06 5G and M05 5G are listed under the revised scheme, each seeing a Rs 1,000 upward adjustment across memory configurations.

Additionally, Samsung's entry-level 5G portfolio has not been spared either. Phones like the Galaxy A06 5G, Galaxy F06 5G and Galaxy A07 are also mentioned in the recovery list, indicating minor upward revisions at the dealer level.
The document explicitly notes that these changes are part of a broader pricing recalibration for January 2026. However, most alarmingly, it hints at Samsung's premium and foldable phones receiving price hikes in the coming weeks.
From what we are seeing, while Samsung has not publicly updated its online listings yet, the internal memo confirms that the revised pricing applies post January 5, 2026.
