Summary

  • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 promotional materials leak reveals the absence of the S Pen.
  • It is said to launch with a 200 MP primary rear camera, a 4,400mAh battery and three colourways.
  • The foldable will launch at the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled for July 9, 2025, at 7:30 PM IST.

We are just a day away from the official unveiling of the Galaxy Z Fold 7. While most of the details for the book-style foldable are already out, it seems like the leaks will not stop pouring in anytime soon. Because the latest development hints at the departure of the S Pen from the foldable lineup.

Leaker Roland Quandt took to social media platform, Bluesky, to post what appears to be the leaked marketing and promotional materials for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7. While it reveals several of the features that we already got to know via previous leaks, it is the absence of one particular feature that caught our eye.

Interestingly, throughout the leaked promotional materials, there is not even the slightest mention of the "Galaxy S Pen". Previously, with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6, Samsung marketed the S Pen as well as released a Galaxy Z Fold 6 case with a built-in S Pen.

However, this time around, neither the support nor the mention of any S Pen accessory has more than likely confirmed something that we have been expecting for a long time now. Samsung is saying goodbye to the beloved S Pen. And it's not only for the foldable. An earlier report indicated that the upcoming Galaxy S27 Ultra will also likely launch without the S Pen.

With that said, the materials do reveal that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will launch in Silver Shadow, Jet Black and Blue Shadow colourways. It is also said to bring a 200 MP primary rear sensor along with a 4,400mAh battery. The under-display selfie camera might also be getting replaced with a regular punch-hole selfie shooter.

Previously leaked Galaxy Z Fold 7 specifications and details hinted at an 8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X foldable display. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and might offer up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. This is also going to be the thinnest book-style foldable from Samsung at a possible thickness of 4.2mm when unfolded and 8.9mm when folded.

With the Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled for July 9, 2025, we won't have to wait for long to confirm all these details.
