After nerfing the S Pen on Galaxy S25 Ultra, it's not looking good for the future of S Pen as Samsung might remove it altogether starting with the Galaxy S27 Ultra.
According to a popular tipster, Setsuna Digital, the Galaxy S27 Ultra may completely abandon the S Pen. They also shed light on upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7's not supporting the S Pen, the reason being that a vast majority of users aren't using it that often.

It's too early to speculate about the Galaxy S27 series, and with the original post now deleted, you should take this information with a grain of salt. However, considering previous rumours and Samsung's recent efforts to nerf the S Pen, the end of S Pen could very well be nigh.
There's also the possibility that Samsung might not completely ditch the S Pen. Instead, it could sell the accessory separately, bundled with a case to store the S Pen. Besides, the removal of the S Pen slot would give the Korean giant more space to fit in a bigger battery.
Recent reports suggest Samsung is working on getting Silicon Carbon batteries in its upcoming smartphones, and the Galaxy S27 series might be the first to feature the same.
There's also the fact that the firm is focusing on making slimmer devices, with the Galaxy S25 Edge being just 5.8 mm thin and the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Fold Ultra also expected to thin. In which case, an S Pen slot could hamper the firm's goals.
Samsung is expected to launch the Z Fold 7 and Z Fold 7 at Galaxy Unpacked next month, rumoured to be scheduled for July 9. The line up with include the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7; besides, the firm could also unveil the Galaxy Watch 8 series, alongside a slightly comprehensive sneak peek at its Project Moohan expected to arrive in September.
