It's been a while since Samsung released the One UI 8.5 beta 2 update for the Galaxy S24 series. Although the last update merely included a few bug fixes and a couple of new features, a new leak indicates that users can expect several major additions when the stable One UI 8.5 update arrives.
Galaxy S24 Could Get Four Galaxy AI Features
Spotted first by Mehmet KAYA on X, an internal One UI 8.5 software build bearing firmware version S928BXXU5DZD9 for the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra was discovered.

Digging into the firmware revealed that Samsung will add a slew of new AI features from the latest Galaxy smartphones to the Galaxy S24 series. Four of these features include:
- AI Call Screening: A feature that leverages the on-device AI model to answer calls on users' behalf, much like Call Screening on Pixels.
- Advanced Audio Eraser: A godsend for content creators, this tool allows users to isolate and reduce specific background noises within recordings or apps.
- Creative Studio: Debuting with the Samsung Galaxy S26, Creative Studio is a standalone app that lets users design drawings, invitation cards, stickers and wallpapers, much like Google's Pixel Studio.
- Photo Assist: One of the best One UI 8.5 features that enables image editing via prompts, with the ability to import people from other images.
Samsung will likely push a few more One UI 8.5 Betas before the stable update rolls out. For those unaware, it was recently revealed by one of Samsung's support agents that the One UI 8.5 update for Galaxy S25 could arrive on April 30, 2026, in South Korea.
Older flagships like the Galaxy S24 series will follow, so we can expect the update to arrive by the end of May 2026. Considering the Galaxy S25 series is already on its ninth Beta update, there are still quite a few updates remaining for the Galaxy S24 series before it moves to the stable version.
Samsung also recently rolled out One UI 8.5 Beta for the Galaxy S23 FE and Galaxy A35 in India. With the development in full swing, if things go well, all One UI 8.5-supported phones should receive the update soon.
