One UI 8 is the next big software update for Samsung Galaxy devices, and the firm has been testing the Beta version for the last month. However, the beta build was limited to a few regions. Now, the South Korean consumer brand is expanding the beta build access to more regions, including India.
Samsung broke the news via an official Newsroom posting. The report states that the One UI 8 Beta update will go live in India starting next week. This means that eligible Galaxy devices should receive the update starting August 11, 2025.
Speaking of eligible devices, the 2024 Galaxy S24 series along with the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6 are slated to receive this update before anyone else. It was officially rolled out in May to the Galaxy S25 series smartphones.

The beta update will further expand to other Galaxy smartphone in September 2025. The following smartphones are confirmed to receive the One UI 8 beta update:
- Galaxy S23 series: Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, Galaxy S23 Ultra
- Galaxy Z Flip 5
- Galaxy Z Fold 5
- Galaxy A series: A33, A55, A35, A54
Considering the above-mentioned devices receive the beta build during the first half of September, we can expect the stable One UI 8 build to hit eligible smartphones during the second half of September.
Apart from India, the beta update will also ship to Galaxy devices in Korea, the US, the UK starting next week. Samsung has further added that the One UI 8 Watch will expand beyond the Galaxy Watch 8 series and the Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025) during the later part of 2025.
With that said, One UI 8 is expected to bring incremental improvements and refinements over One UI 7. One of the new additions could be in the form of dynamic lock screen clocks. Besides the new lock screen customisations, Samsung is also working on enhanced Quick Share and new Notes app interface, followed by new actions in Now Brief and more.
