Samsung is expanding its Android 17-based One UI rollout to more Galaxy phones. Following the initial One UI 9 stable release in South Korea, the update is now reaching the Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A37 in global markets. It brings UI refinements, new customisation options and more.
Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A37 One UI 9 Update
Samsung has started rolling out stable One UI 9 to the Galaxy A56 in Indonesia, following its initial release in South Korea last week. The update carries firmware version A566BXXUEDZJ1, weighs around 2.3 GB, and includes the October 5, 2026 security patch.

The Samsung Galaxy A37 is also receiving the stable Android 17 update outside Samsung's home market, with Europe among the first regions to get it. The update comes with firmware version A376BXXU5BZI6. Samsung has yet to disclose the download size or security patch level for this build.

Both updates are rolling out in phases, meaning they may not be available to all users immediately. Samsung is expected to expand availability to additional markets, including India, in the coming days.

What's New in One UI 9?
One UI 9 brings several refinements over One UI 8.5, including additional Quick Panel customisation options that let users tailor the interface to their preferences. Samsung has also improved the DeX experience, Samsung Notes and accessibility features.

One of the other important One UI 9 features is a location privacy indicator, which helps users identify when an app accesses their location. However, the Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A37 won't receive all the advanced Galaxy AI features available on Samsung's flagship smartphones.
The Galaxy A56 launched in 2025 with One UI 7, while the Galaxy A37 arrived in March 2026 with One UI 8.5. Both phones are covered by Samsung's six-year software support policy, making them eligible for future Android and security updates.
