Samsung has officially started rolling out the One UI 8.5 update to the Galaxy S25 series in India and the US, just a week after pushing the stable One UI 8.5 to the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7 and the S25 lineup in Korea. Users who earlier enrolled in the One UI 8.5 beta program have now started receiving the new stable update on their Galaxy phones.
One UI 8.5 Finally Lands on the Galaxy S25 Series in India and the US
The stable One UI 8.5 update is currently rolling out in the US and India for Samsung Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, Galaxy S25 Ultra and the Galaxy S25 Edge. The update carries the firmware version number S93xBXXU9CZDP with a download size of about 4 GB, but it doesn't come with the May 2026 security patch.

The update first arrived for the newly released Samsung Galaxy S26 and other S26 devices in the series. So, it is good to see the stable release coming to older phones so quickly. This is a massive update that brings major changes, including the new Perplexity-powered Bixby assistant, improvements to quick settings, the new Now Nudge feature, and lock screen customisations.
It also features AirDrop support for Quick Share to seamlessly transfer files between Galaxy phones and iPhones. So, users who have a One UI 8.5 eligible device can go ahead and check for updates right now. Head to Settings -> Software update and select the Download and install option once One UI 8.5 shows up. In case the update is not showing up for you, it is advised to wait for a few days as the update is likely a phased rollout.
As for the rest of the phones in Samsung's portfolio, the brand has already opened up beta testing of One UI 8.5 for Galaxy S23 FE and Galaxy A35 in India. It is expected to roll out the stable update in the coming months. We don't have a fixed date, but we can expect Samsung to release the update soon. So, users just need to be a little more patient to get the latest stable build.
