The 2026 edition of the Consumer Technology Association (CES) is in full swing in Las Vegas, with brands showcasing their latest tech innovation. Among the list is TCL, who has debuted its latest generation of e-ink-like display phone, the TCL NxtPaper 70 Pro. Here is what the newest member of the family brings to the table.
TCL NxtPaper 70 Pro is the perfect mid-range reading companion phone
As it is with TCL, the biggest highlight of the NxtPaper 70 Pro is its display. At first glance, this is a standard 6.9-inch Full HD+ 120 Hz LCD panel. However, the main gizmo lies in how it works. With NxtPaper 4.0, the brand claims that the phone can deliver an "all-day and all-scenario eye-friendly viewing experience". It comes with seven eye-care technologies like a natural light mode, zero flicker, blue light purification, anti-glare viewing and more.

The fourth generation of NxtPaper tech allows the phone to intelligently switch between colour and e-ink modes. There is also a dedicated physical NxtPaper key which can transition between Color Paper, Ink Paper and Max Ink modes with a single click. The same button can also be customised to support one-click AI.
All of this is fuelled by the mid-range Dimensity 7300 processor and Android 16. It can be paired with 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of storage. There is also a 5,200mAh battery underneath and TCL claims that the phone can last for up to 26 days in the Max Ink mode. It supports 33W fast USB-C charging.

Aside from that, the TCL NxtPaper 70 Pro also brings a 50 MP main camera with OIS and an 8 MP ultra-wide angle lens to the table. It also has a 32 MP selfie camera. There is also a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, an IP68 rating, dual SIM support, dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC, GPS and a USB-C 2.0 port.
Lastly, pricing-wise, the TCL NxtPaper 70 Pro will cost $339 (approximately Rs 31,000) for the 8 GB + 256 GB variant. It will also be available in an 8 GB + 512 GB model and it will cost $389 (approximately Rs 35,000). The phone will be available to purchase from February 2026 in markets like the Asia-Pacific, Europe, North America, the Middle East & Africa and Latin America.
