Vivo V70 and V70 Elite Teased to Launch in India Soon

It's been only a couple of days since the Vivo X200T launched in India and now, the brand has started teasing its 2026 "V" series lineup for the country. The Vivo V70 and V70 Elite are coming soon and from the looks of it, the Chinese phone maker is going all-in this time.

Vivo V70 series is launching soon in India

The official Vivo Newsroom has teased the arrival of the Vivo V70 and Vivo V70 Elite to India. Vivo claims that the upcoming phones will represent "the most evolved expression of what the V Series stands for." To corroborate that, the brand has shared a bunch of details about the smartphones.

Starting with the Vivo V70 Elite, it is going to be powered by the capable Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor. The smartphone will feature a compact chassis with a more compact 6.59-inch display and will become the first "V" series phone to be equipped with an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.

In terms of camera, it will be equipped with triple Zeiss-branded lenses, bringing a 50 MP Sony IMX882 3x periscope lens and a 50 MP Sony IMX766 main camera. Aside from that, Vivo has confirmed LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 4.1 storage and OriginOS 6 features for the Vivo V70 Elite. Colour options for the phone will include Passion Red, Authentic Black and Sand Beige.

As for the Vivo V70, it is also going to be a near-compact device with a 6.59-inch display and 1.25mm ultra-narrow uniform bezels. The smartphone will feature the same primary and telephoto cameras as those of the Elite model.

In terms of performance, Vivo has not revealed which chip will power the Vivo V70. However, a recent Vivo V70 Geekbench listing revealed the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor for the phone. This is the same SoC that last year's Vivo V60 also featured.

All in all, while the Vivo V70 appears to be a refined version of the Vivo V60, the Vivo V70 Elite is, without a doubt, a rebrand of the Vivo S50 in China. That said, since Vivo has revealed so many details today, we can expect the official launch date confirmation to arrive shortly.
