In just a few days time, Vivo will make the V70 and V70 Elite official in India. Both phones have been confirmed to bring Snapdragon processors, Zeiss cameras and a compact form factor. Now, the expected pricing of both smartphones have leaked and it might just dissapoint some fans.

Vivo V70 and V70 Elite pricing leak confirms price hike

The information comes from tipster Abhishek Yadav who posted the alleged confirmed pricing and sale details of the Vivo V70 and Vivo V70 Elite on X. As per that, the standard V70 will start from Rs 45,999 for the base 8 GB + 256 GB model. There will reportedly be a second 12 GB + 256 GB option and it is expected to cost Rs 49,999.

As for the Vivo V70 Elite, it is said to be offered in three configurations with the base 8 GB + 256 GB model costing Rs 51,999. The other two 12 GB + 256 GB  and 12 GB + 512 GB options will reportedly retail for Rs 56,999 and Rs 61,999.

If true, the upcoming V series Vivo phones have officially exited their mid-range status. With a more premium price tag, it's going for the upper mid-range status, competing with the likes of the OnePlus 15R and the Oppo Reno 15 Pro Mini.

For context, the V70 is now Rs 9,000 pricier than the Vivo V60. While we didn't get a Vivo V60 Elite, the V70 Elite is close in price to the recently launched Vivo X200T, which offers a far superior mix of hardware for the price. So, at the time of writing, it is unclear how these upcoming phones will position themselves in the super competitive and convoluted Rs 45,000 to Rs 60,000 space.

That being said, for those eyeing the new phones, Yadav also mentions that pre-orders will begin on the Vivo V70 series India launch date, that is, February 19, 2026 and will enter open sales from February 25, 2026. As for their specs, Vivo recently confirmed almost every V70 series key specs, and with the official unveiling happening in a few days, we will know more about the two phones shortly.
