Vivo V70 Series India Launch Confirmed for February

After a host of leaks and rumours, Vivo has finally confirmed the official launch date of its next generation V-series smartphone. The series will consist of the Vivo V70 and V70 Elite, and will launch in the third week of February 2026. The standard V70 and the sub-flagship V70 Elite will share many specifications but with different processors.

Vivo V70 and V70 Elite Launch Date Set for February 19

Following the last Vivo V70 series reveal, which revealed the key specifications of the upcoming smartphones, Vivo has updated the page with new information and visuals, including the launch date, which is set for February 19, 2026. Subsequently, the phone's landing page on Flipkart has also been updated with the new information.

Besides the previously leaked information, Vivo has revealed it will bring an India-exclusive AI Holi Portrait profile in the camera app. This will be available from February 19 to March 15, 2026.

As for the specifications, the standard Vivo V70 boasts Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, whereas the Vivo V70 Elite gets Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. Both smartphones share a 6.59-inch 1.5K 120Hz flat OLED display, a 6,500mAh battery with 90W charging and a triple 50 MP Zeiss camera setup. The processors are accompanied by LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.

This consists of a main sensor, a 3x telephoto and an ultrawide sensor, accompanied by a 50 MP front camera for selfie duties. Vivo also appears to be doubling down on durability with an IP69 rating and software with four years of major Android updates. Vivo is also promising 6 years of security updates in total.

The smartphones will ship with OriginOS 6 features out of the box, based on Android 16. The V70 arrives in two colours – Passion Red and Lemon Yellow, whereas the V70 Elite gets Passion Red, Sand Beige and Authentic Black colourways.

With the launch just a few weeks away, detailed specification sheets of both smartphones should be out soon. Besides, we should also start hearing more about their rumoured prices as we inch closer to launch, so stay tuned.
