Vivo V70 Elite Confirmed with Snapdragon 8s Gen 3
After teasing the Vivo V70 series, Vivo has made the product page of the Vivo V70 series live, revealing key specifications and confirming the existence of an Elite variant for the first time. The page suggests the Vivo V70 Elite will run on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset.
On the other hand, the standard Vivo V70 will use the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. Complimenting the processors on the respective phones will be LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage configurations. Besides, both smartphones will boast 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED screens with 120 Hz refresh rates and up to 5,000 nits of peak brightness. Powering the internals is a massive 6,500mAh battery on both phones, supported by 90W fast charging.

Durability-wise, Vivo claims both phones are made from an aerospace-grade aluminium frame and boast an IP68/69 rating for protection against dust and water. The phones have also been revealed to feature ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanners.

Optics-wise, the phones will get a 50 MP main camera with OIS, a secondary 50 MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and a 50 MP front camera for selfies. These are all powered by Zeiss, which has turned Vivo into the gold standard of smartphone photography.
Lastly, the page also reveals that the Vivo V70 series will come with OriginOS 6 features based on Android 16, with four major Android updates and six years of security patches. Featured throughout the page is the phone's unique Passion Red colour, but it's expected to arrive in more colours.
While Vivo has yet to reveal the exact launch date of the smartphones, the fact that the product page is live suggests it's launching very soon, hopefully in the coming weeks. More information about its specifications and pricing should be revealed as we inch closer to launch, so stay tuned.
