The Vivo X300 FE aka the Vivo S50 Pro Mini recently surfaced online. While it has not even been a month since the launch of the Vivo X300 series, it looks like the brand is already prepping the FE edition for 2026. The latest leak has shed light into the smartphone's performance.
Vivo could go the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 route with the X300 FE
As per tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS), the upcoming Vivo X300 FE will very likely feature the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor. While the mobile chipset was announced at the 2025 edition of the Snapdragon Summit, it is yet to officially break cover. Hence, the upcoming FE phone from Vivo could very well become the first official device to ship with this chipset.
Moreover, before arriving as the X300 FE in India and the global markets, it will launch first as the Vivo S50 Pro Mini in China. If true, this will be an interesting choice since the Vivo X200 FE featured a MediaTek processor. Even in the latest Vivo S50 series leaked specifications post, DCS claimed that the Pro Mini will use an SoC with an Antutu score of over 3 million, which was found in the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 specifications leak.
So naturally, the processor choice was speculated to be the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 one. However, looks like the hint was for the upcoming Qualcomm processor all along. The reason being, Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 will be a TSMC 3nm (N3P) process built octa-core processor and will feature the same 2nd-gen Oryon CPU cores as that of the Snapdragon 8 Elite.
Hence, the "3 million" hint for the 8 Gen 5 makes sense, since the 2024 SoC managed to score that much in Antutu as well. At the time of writing, we are not sure how much of this is going to be true. So, take this new development with a grain of salt.
Additionally, the S50 Pro Mini aka the X300 FE is said to maintain its compact form factor with a 6.31-inch 1.5K AMOLED display. And just like the X200 FE aka the Vivo S30 Pro Mini, a periscope camera will also make its way via the upcoming phone.
Apart from that, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and a 7,000mAh bump in battery capacity is also expected. That said, based on the X200 FE launch timeline, expect the X300 FE to make its way to India somewhere in July 2026. So, we are still a long way before the smartphone's official launch.
