After launching the Vivo X300 series in China, it looks like the brand is gearing up to launch its more compact "S" series phones in the country. The Vivo S50 and the S50 Pro Mini have now leaked online, spilling the beans regarding their key details.
Vivo S50 and S50 Pro will bring capable telephoto cameras
Tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo has revealed that Vivo is already hard at work prepping the Vivo S50 and the S50 Pro smartphones for China. Both phones are said to feature an AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution, a metal mid-frame and an upgraded telephoto camera system.

However, interestingly, unlike the last-gen Vivo S30, which featured a 6.67-inch display, the S50 is getting a smaller panel at 6.59 inches. The S50 Pro Mini retains the same 6.31-inch AMOLED panel.
Additionally, in a comment made to a user's query on the linuep's processor choice, DCS claims that the Pro Mini will use an SoC with an Antutu score of over 3 million. This could very well indicate the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 processor since the S30 Pro Mini used the Dimensity 9300+ chip and it doesn't look like Vivo will tap into Qualcomm for the next Pro Mini.

As for the standard S50, the leaker has not made any comment regarding its chipset. It could very well sport the Snapdragon 7 Gen 5 chipset, if at all Qualcomm launches that as a successor to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. However, there is no information on that front yet.
Other than that, DCS's post has not disclosed any other detail of the smartphones at the time of writing. The S50 lineup will surely bring some notable upgrades in other areas as well. For instance, instead of an optical fingerprint scanner, the S50 lineup could bring an ultrasonic scanner to the mix. Even the battery capacity could get a bump of 7,000mAh on both phones.
That said, just like the S30 Pro Mini, we expect the S50 Pro Mini to arrive in India as well under the Vivo X300 FE name. So, expect to hear more on that front as well. We will be sure to cover any new development regarding the smartphones here at Beebom Gadgets.
