2025 is the year when compact smartphones are making a comeback big time. Phone brands like Vivo, Oppo, and OnePlus have all chimed in on the action. However, it seems like Vivo is ready to further push the boundaries of the compact moniker with the upcoming X300 Pro Mini.
Prolific smartphone leaker Digital Chat Station confirmed several key specifications of the Vivo X300 Pro Mini in a Weibo post last week. The device will carry the "Mini" title forward with a 6.3-inch 1.5K 120Hz LTPO AMOLED panel, sporting thin symmetrical bezels like last year's X200 Pro Mini.
The most eye-grabbing specification in the leak is the alleged battery capacity. At 7,000mAh, the Vivo X300 Pro Mini is rumoured to witness a sizeable 1,300mAh jump compared to the 5,700mAh battery in the X200 Pro Mini.
This claim, if true, will set a new benchmark for compact phones. Though unknown right now, the bigger battery could add some extra bulk, causing the phone to be thicker than the X200 Pro Mini.

The fingerprint scanner on the X300 Pro Mini is also getting an upgrade, with the optical sensor getting replaced with an ultrasonic in-display sensor. To recall, the vivo X200 Pro Mini included an optical in-display fingerprint scanner.
Apart from this, the phone will likely feature the same camera setup as that of the X200 Pro Mini, with a triple camera setup. This includes a 50 MP primary sensor with OIS, a 50 MP ultrawide lens, and a 50 MP periscope telephoto lens. While the core specifications will mostly remain the same, we can expect the device to carry minor quality-of-life upgrades to the camera department.
With that said, it is important to note that nothing is official yet, so take this leak with a pinch of salt. With an expected launch window of Q4 2025, we expect to see more information surface online.
