The rumour mill has already started churning out reports about the Vivo X500 series, which is still months away from launch. Tipped to bring a major lineup overhaul, we have so far heard that as many as four new phones are in the works. Now, a fresh new leak has given us a concrete idea about the X500 lineup models and it includes two new surprise additions.
Vivo X500 Series Might Bring Four New Phone Variants
Reliable tipster Smart Pikachu took to Weibo to share a list of all the new phones coming to the Vivo X500 series. According to the leak, the lineup is said to bring four phones in total - the Vivo X500e, Vivo X500, Vivo X500 Pro and Vivo X500 Pro Max. The tipster adds that the expanded lineup will allow Vivo to target a wider range of price segments.

While the Vivo X500 and Vivo X500 Pro are expected successor to the current Vivo X300 and Vivo X300 Pro, the X500e and X500 Pro Max would be new additions to the series. The Pro Max has already appeared in multiple leaks over the past few months, while the Vivo X500e GSMA listing was recently spotted.
That said, the Vivo X500 Ultra and X500s are also reportedly in the works. From the looks of it, Vivo's X500 lineup could offer as many as four smartphones. However, it's currently unclear whether these are distinct models or if some of them could launch as rebranded versions of each other in different regions.
Vivo X500 Pro Max Key Specs Tipped
While Smart Pikachu's post gave us an early glimpse into the X500 series models, an alternate post from Digital Chat Station (DCS) revealed several of the Vivo X500 Pro Max specifications. The upcoming flagship is said to feature a 6.85-inch 2K 144 Hz LTPO display with LIPO technology for an almost bezel-less screen experience. This is also said to be a 2.5D flat display made by BOE.

DCS further elaborates that the phone could be equipped with LPDDR6 RAM, indicating Vivo's plans to adopt the next generation of RAM standard, despite the ongoing RAM crisis. Moreover, the RAM choice also indirectly hints at the presence of the 2nm Dimensity 9600 Pro processor, which was recently tipped to support the latest standard.

Moreover, in replies to comments on the post, the tipster has also revealed that the phone will bring a 200 MP periscope camera with a 1/1.4-inch sensor size. This falls in line with a previous Vivo X500 Pro Max camera leak report, which also revealed that the setup may include a 50 MP Sony main LOFIC camera and a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle lens.
In the comments, the tipster also revealed that the Vivo X500 Pro could arrive with an "8-series model" battery, hinting at an 8,000mAh capacity.
Since the Vivo X500 series is still months away from an expected September 2026 launch, more details about the upcoming flagship lineup are expected to emerge in the coming months.
