Vivo has silently launched two new smartphones in India – Vivo Y11 5G and Vivo Y21 5G. Both are equipped with the same big LCD display, the same mid-range MediaTek chipset and identical battery capacity. However, they do differ in some areas, including the charging speeds and camera setups.
Vivo Y11 5G and Vivo Y21 5G Specifications and Features
The newly launched Vivo Y11 5G and the Vivo Y21 5G share almost identical specs in every department. For starters, both phones sport a 6.74-inch flat LCD display with an HD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The panel is rated for up to 1,200 nits of brightness and share identical U-shaped notch design and a thick bottom chin.
Under the hood, they both run on the mid-range Dimensity 6300 chipset, paired with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. However, they differ in the starting storage capacity, with the Y11 5G starting from 64 GB and the Y21 5G starting from 128 GB. They also bring up to 2 TB micro-SD card expansion and run on Origin OS 6 based on Android 16 out of the box.
Talking about the battery, both come fitted with a 6,500mAh capacity cell. However, they differ in charging speed. While the Y11 5G is limited to 15W USB-C charging, the Y21 5G gains 44W fast USB-C charging.
Moving on, in terms of cameras, there is a slight difference between the two phones. The Y11 5G comes with a 13 MP main camera, whereas the Y21 5G gains a 50 MP main sensor and also a secondary camera. At the front, both ship with the same 5 MP selfie shooter. There is also a Ring LED light present at the back of both phones that doubles as a fill light.
Aside from that, Vivo Y11 5G and Vivo Y21 5G bring an IP65 rating and military-grade durability certification. They also house a ide-mounted fingerprint scanner, single bottom-firing speaker, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, dual SIM 5G, GPS and USB-C 2.0 port.
