Vivo is seemingly looking to launch two new "Y" series smartphones in India – Vivo Y31 5G and Y31 Pro 5G. While details of the standard model are scarce, a new leak has given us a glimpse into the Pro's specs and pricing ahead of launch.
Tipster Sanju Choudhary has shared an X post outlining the key details and the alleged pricing of the Vivo Y31 Pro 5G in India. It is said to start from Rs 18,999 for the 8 GB + 128 GB model. There will be another model with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage and it will reportedly cost Rs 20,999.

If true, the Y31 Pro 5G will target the sub-Rs 20,000 segment in India and will compete with the likes of the Realme P4 5G, Infinix GT 30 5G+ and CMF Phone 2 Pro, among others.
In order to go head-to-head with the competition, the tipster claims that the Y31 Pro 5G will feature a 6.72-inch Full HD+ 120 Hz display with 1,050 nits of brightness. While the tipster has not explicitly stated the panel type, we expect the device to flaunt an AMOLED display. The display could be widely similar to the predecessor, the Vivo Y29 5G.

It is expected to draw its power from the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset. The big highlight is expected to be its battery at an alleged 6,500mAh capacity. Vivo will likely provide 44W fast USB-C charging support for the smartphone.
Camera-wise, the Y31 Pro 5G could bring a dual rear camera setup with a 50 MP primary camera and a 2 MP depth sensor. The front is expected to flaunt an 8 MP selfie unit.
Apart from this, expect the smartphone to feature an IP64 rating, a stereo speaker setup, up to 8.19 mm thickness and up to 208 grams of weight. Buyers will likely get the option to purchase the smartphone in Dreamy White and Mocha Brown colour options.
That said, Vivo has not officially started teasing the Y31 lineup for India yet. So, take these details with a grain of salt. However, we expect the brand to reveal official details in the coming days.
