After dropping the Xiaomi 17T India launch teaser a couple of days back, the brand has now confirmed the exact launch date of the smartphone. This is going to be the first Xiaomi T-branded phone in the country after almost a hiatus of six years and it will be interesting to see what it brings to the table.
Xiaomi 17T India Launch Date Set for June 4
The official Xiaomi India X account and website have confirmed that the brand-new Xiaomi 17T will launch in India on June 4, 2026. Co-created in partnership with Leica, the upcoming phone is expected to position itself as a premium mid-range smartphone, rivaling the likes of the Vivo X200T.

However, it seems like the Xiaomi 17 Pro is not coming to India as the teasers only hint at the arrival of the standard model. This makes sense since Xiaomi is reviving its T-branded phones after almost six years in the country.
Coupled with the ongoing RAM crisis, it remains to be seen how well the phone does in the country. As for its specs, the microsite has confirmed that camera and design details will be unveiled on May 24 and the full reveal will happen on May 26, 2026.
Xiaomi 17T Specifications and Features (Leaked)
While Xiaomi is yet to officially share the phone's key details, a recent Xiaomi 17T series specs leak has given us a fair idea about its key specifications. For starters, the phone is said to bring a compact 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 1.5K resolution.
In terms of design, it is similar in look to the Xiaomi 15T and the official Xiaomi Europe teaser post has revealed a blue and purple colour option for the smartphone. For performance, the phone is expected to be powered by the Dimensity 8500 Ultra SoC (slightly more fine-tuned variant of the Dimensity 8500 chipset), paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.

As for cameras, the Xiaomi 17T is expected to feature a 50 MP Light Fusion 800 main camera, a 12 MP ultra-wide angle lens and a 50 MP 5x telephoto camera. It will bring Leica-branded cameras with Leica-tuned colour science. Battery-wise, the phone is expected to flaunt a 6,500mAh unit with 67W fast USB-C charging support.
Xiaomi 17T Price in India (Expected)
Since Xiaomi has not launched a T-branded phone in India for the past few years, it is difficult to say how much the Xiaomi 17T will cost. However, if we go by its leaked pricing in Europe, the phone is is expected to debut for 749 euros (approximately Rs 83,000).
While we do not expect them to cost as much in India, the Xiaomi 17T price in India could very well start from under Rs 60,000. However, we will only know for sure when the phone launches in India next month. So, stay tuned.
