It has been a while since Xiaomi introduced a T-series smartphone in India. With the Xiaomi 17T series global launch date officially confirmed for May 28, 2026, it seems like the lineup will also make its way to India this time. Xiaomi has started teasing Xiaomi 17T for India and it could launch in the coming days.

Only Xiaomi 17T May Arrive in India

The official Xiaomi India X account has made a teaser post confirming the arrival of Xiaomi 17T to India. It carries the "capture moments the way they’re meant to be seen. Closer, sharper, bigger" tagline, confirming cameras are a key USP of the lineup.

This will bring the "T" series back to India after a hiatus of almost 6 years. The last Xiaomi T series phones were the Xiaomi 11T and Xiaomi 11T Pro, which launched way back in 2021.

However, it is unclear if both the standard Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro models will arrive in India. Current internet speculation believes that only the Xiaomi 17T will launch in India due to the ongoing RAM crisis.

Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro Specifications and Features (Leaked)

While Xiaomi is yet to officially share any details, a recent Xiaomi 17T series specs leak has outed almost everything. For starters, the standard 17T is said to feature a 6.59-inch 120 Hz 1.5K AMOLED display, while the Pro model is expected to bring a larger 6.83-inch 144 Hz 1.5K AMOLED screen.

For performance, while Xiaomi 17T is expected to be powered by the Dimensity 8500 Ultra SoC (slightly more fine-tuned variant of the Dimensity 8500 chipset), the 17T Pro could feature the Dimensity 9500 processor. Both phones are said to feature LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.

In terms of cameras, both the Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro are said to feature the same 50 MP 5x telephoto camera and 12 MP ultra-wide angle lens. However, while the 17T will reportedly bring a 50 MP Light Fusion 800 main sensor, the 17T Pro may use a 50 MP Light Fusion 950 sensor. Both are said to be powered by Leica Imaging.

As for battery, the Xiaomi17T may pack a 6,500mAh unit with 67W fast USB-C charging, while the 17T Pro could flaunt a bigger 7,000mAh battery with 100W fast USB-C and 50W wireless charging.

Xiaomi 17T Price in India (Expected)

Since Xiaomi has not launched a T-branded phone in India for the past few years, it is difficult to say how much the Xiaomi 17T series will cost. However, if we go by its leaked pricing in Europe, the standard Xiaomi 17T is expected to cost 749 euros (approximately Rs 83,000) and Xiaomi 17T Pro is said to cost 999 euros (approximately Rs 1,10,000).

While we do not expect them to cost as much in India, the Xiaomi 17T price in India could very well start from under Rs 60,000. And, if the Xiaomi 17T Pro makes it to the country, it could cost close to Rs 80,000. However, we will only know for sure when both phones launch in India, either by this month's end or sometime in June 2026.
