By the way, Apple is breaking from the routine it has followed for years, where pre-orders begin on the first Friday after the launch event rather than on a Saturday. It's because the next Friday would have fallen on September 11 and that date marks the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks. Apple has decided to push the window back by a day so that it does not conflict with the anniversary.
