In a bid to strengthen its foothold in India's rising value-driven 5G smartphone market, Ai+ has introduced the new Nova 2 5G alongside the Nova 2 Ultra 5G. The Ai+ Nova 2 leans heavily into practicality with a large battery, high refresh rate display and 5G connectivity, while keeping affordability at its core.
Ai+ Nova 2 5G Specifications and Features
The Ai+ Nova 2 5G doesn't arrive with big upgrades over the first Ai+ Nova phone. We see the same 6.75-inch HD+ (720 x 1600 pixels) LCD display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. The panel also supports up to 600 nits of brightness, making it usable in outdoor conditions. There's also oleophobic coating on top for reduced smudging.
In terms of build and design, the Ai+ Nova 2 5G measures 8.7mm in thickness and weighs around 205 grams. It features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security and carries an IP64 rating.
Powering the smartphone is the same Unisoc T8200 chipset, paired with up to 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. Storage is further expandable up to 1 TB via a dedicated microSD card slot.
On the camera front, the Ai+ Nova 2 5G features the same 50 MP primary rear camera with autofocus, accompanied by a secondary CIF sensor. For selfies, there's an 8 MP front-facing camera. The phone also supports video recording at up to 4K @ 30 FPS, which is a notable addition in this price segment.
One of the standout features of the phone is its massive 6,000mAh battery, which is an upgrade over the predecessor's 5,000mAh unit. It supports 18W fast charging as well, although Ai+ is bundling a 10W charger in the box.
On the software front, the Ai+ Nova 2 5G runs on Android 16 out of the box, with the brand's NxtQuantum OS skin on top.
Ai+ Nova 2 5G Price in India and Sale Date
The Ai+ Nova 2 5G price in India starts at Rs 8,999 for the base 4 GB + 64 GB variant. Meanwhile, the 6 GB + 128 GB variant is priced at Rs 9,999.
As for availability, the phone will go on sale exclusively via Flipkart starting April 14, 2026. The phone comes in purple, pink, green, blue and black colour options.
