This Is How Much the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max Could Cost

Hours before Apple's "Surprise and shine" event, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman has offered a read on the pricing of the iPhone 18 Pro and the iPhone 18 Pro Max. While the report does indicate an imminent price hike, the blow could be lower than expected.

In his PowerOn newsletter, Gurman claims that the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max will likely come in at only $100 (approximately Rs 10,000) higher than the phones they replacing, that is, the iPhone 17 Pro and the iPhone 17 Pro Max.

This doesn't come as a surprise since Tim Cook himself confirmed in July 2026 that iPhone price hikes are coming. However, Gurman's projection is far welcoming than some of the leaks that have arrived so far.

A few months back, IDC had forecast increases of up to $200 (approximately Rs 20,000), while the Wall Street Journal reported the iPhone 18 Pro could start at $1,399 (approximately Rs 1,69,900). Even Apple Analyst Jeff Pu and Counterpoint Research had both suggested increases of up to $300 (approximately Rs 30,000) on higher storage configurations.

An $100 increase would sit at the bottom of that range, given the ongoing RAM crisis. Hence, if we go by this number, the iPhone 18 Pro could start from $1,199 compared to the $1,099 starting price of the iPhone 17 Pro.

As for the iPhone 18 Pro Max, it could see a starting price of $1,299 compared to the iPhone 18 Pro Max's launch price of $1,199. Here is a breakdown of what all the storage configurations of the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max might look like:

That said, at the time of writing, these prices are speculative and we do not know if they will actually materialise. However, we won't have to wait long since everything gets confirmed at the event tonight, which is also John Ternus's first keynote as Apple CEO. So, stay tuned.
