Apple has started rolling out the iOS 26.6 Public Beta 3 update to all supported iPhones. This comes just a day after the iOS 26.6 developer beta 3 update was released and brings several of the key iOS 26.6 features, including new Apple Maps security enhancements and blocked contacts limit alerts.
iOS 26.6 Public Beta 3 Update: What's New?
As we saw with the previous iOS 26.6 releases, one of the major additions on iOS 26-supported devices is a set of new security enhancements for Apple Maps. The Cupertino brand has added stricter location-based data processing, particularly since Apple Maps will now show users targeted adverts.

Another major area of change is in the Blocked Contacts Limit alert in iOS 26.6. It was first made live with the developer beta 1 release and is now also being made available with the public beta 3 update. The purpose of this is to send iPhone users a text warning if they end up exceeding the maximum number of blocked contacts.
This bars users from blocking more contacts unless and until they clear the list manually. Depending on your iPhone and iOS version, the limit sits between 8,000 and 20,000 blocked contacts on Apple iPhones currently.
Aside from that, there are no other notable changes shipped with iOS 26.6 public beta 3. Most of the other updates are related to under-the-hood refinements and aim to bring system-wide stability and security to iOS.
That said, the iOS 26.6 public beta 3 update is currently rolling out from the iPhone 11 to the iPhone 17e. Users can download and install the new version by navigating to Settings > General > Software Update > Update Now.
