The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has partnered with Google to display verified Aadhaar enrolment and update centres on Google Maps. The latest partnership is aimed at improving access to essential identity services for Indian citizens nationwide.
Over 60,000 authorised Aadhaar centres to be shown on Google Maps
Under the initiative, Google Maps users will soon be able to search and locate authorised Aadhaar centres nearby, including Aadhaar Seva Kendras and other official service points, with accurate information verified by UIDAI. Google is expected to roll out the integration in the coming months.
The enhanced mapping feature will help users identify centres based on the type of services offered, such as adult enrolment, child enrolment and updates to address or mobile details, directly within the Google Maps app.

In addition to core location details, the feature will display accessibility information where available, including divyang-friendly infrastructure, parking availability and operating hours, further assisting residents in planning their visits.
With more than 60,000 Aadhaar centres nationwide, this integration addresses a long-standing issue of distinguishing authorised government service centres from unauthorised providers.
According to UIDAI CEO Bhuvnesh Kumar, the collaboration will make navigating Aadhaar services "simpler, faster and more transparent" for Aadhaar card holders.
In future phases, UIDAI plans to use Google Business Profile tools to manage centre information and respond to user feedback and may even introduce direct appointment booking through Google Maps.
