After the recent launch of its affordable Vibe 2 5G smartphone, HMD is en route to expand its C series. The brand is prepping two new smartphones, rumoured to be the HMD C2 and C2 Plus. Now, a new leak reveals the design, specifications and pricing of the phones, leaving nothing to the imagination.
HMD C2 Series Key Details Tipped
Reliable tipster @smashx_60 shared posts revealing the key specs and live images of the upcoming HMD C2, dubbed TA-1X2X and C2 Plus, dubbed TA-1X3X.

Starting with the HMD C2, the smartphone is expected to feature a 6.78-inch FHD+ sAMOLED panel with a 90 Hz refresh rate and 1,000 nits of peak brightness. Powering the smartphone could be the budget Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor paired with 6 GB + 128 GB or 6 GB + 256 GB storage and a 6,000mAh battery that can charge at 33W.
Optics-wise, the standard HMD C2 is expected to arrive with a 50 MP main camera accompanied by a 2 MP and 0.3 MP secondary lenses. The front is expected to boast a 50 MP selfie shooter. On the software front, the phone could arrive with Android 16, with other specs including an IP54 rating, OZO audio, 3.5mm jack and side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Both phones could feature dual stereo speakers as well.

The HMD C2 Plus shares most of the above specifications, except that it could arrive with a brighter and smoother 120 Hz, 1,500 nits display. It could also feature a better 64 MP main camera with OIS, paired with an 8 MP ultrawide and a 2 MP depth sensor. It could also boast a better IP65 rating with a higher 8 GB + 256 GB base storage.
As for the colours, the HMD C2 could arrive in Light Mint, Midnight Blue and Lavender, while the C2 Plus could feature in Coral, Royal Blue and Jade Green. The upcoming HMD phones are quite similar in terms of design from the back, with the main difference being that the HMD C2 has a glossy back, and the C2 Plus comes with a matte finish.

Lastly, as for the pricing, the tipster says that the HMD C2 could start from 149 Euros (approximately Rs 16,000) for the base 6 GB + 128 GB variant, whereas the C2 Plus could start at 200 Euros (approximately Rs 22,000).
While HMD is yet to officially reveal or tease the smartphones, considering the phones have already appeared in the wild, their launch should be scheduled in the upcoming months. Until then, stay tuned.
