Honor recently showcased Honor 600 series design for China and confirmed that the Honor 600 and Honor 600 Pro will launch soon. Now, ahead of the launch date announcement, a new report has highlighted one of the biggest AI features coming to both phones, quite possibly making them the first to do so.
Honor 600 and 600 Pro Will Enable On-Device AI Image to Video Generation
The Honor 600 and Honor 600 Pro has been confirmed to become the first phones in the world to natively support on-device AI image to video generation. Dubbed the AI Image to Video 2.0, Honor will allow users to export their images (both AI and non-AI) to convert them into AI video clips for absolutely free.

To give a better idea, the folks over at Gizmochina managed to get their hands on the image-to-video generation feature via the Honor 600 Pro. As it is evident from the above image, there is a new Image to Video interface which allows the upload of images (single and multiple) to convert them into AI-generated videos.
It allows users to choose from either a vertical 9:16 or a landscape 16:9 aspect ratio and allows text-based AI prompts to help users communicate their intent for the video generation. It works similarly to how Google Gemini's Veo works, but the key USP here is on-device conversion, meaning faster conversion time and local processing of data.

As per the report, Honor 600 and 600 Pro enable this via a local multi-modal visual-language framework which can handle text, image and video data analysis simultaneously. It allows the phones to leverage the on-board NPU and the RAM to perform image-to-video conversion without needing cloud computing.
This helps the AI model to create opening and closing video frames, create videos with 3 to 8 seconds of duration and achieve cinematic effects like depths and shadows. The AI image-to-video generation tool is also said to offer a bunch of stylisation presets like Hitchcock zoom, bullet time and world-transformation effects.
Moreover, with a dedicated One-Tap AI button, users will be able to initiate image-to-video generation from the local gallery with the single press of a button. That said, Honor has not yet revealed the China launch date of the Honor 600 series. However, both phones will go official globally on April 23, 2026. Hence, we will have to wait only for a few more days for the on-device AI image-to-video generation feature to go official.
