After a bunch of leaks and rumours, Honor has officially started teasing the Magic 8 Pro Air. Yes, that's what it will actually be called and will sit beside the Magic 8 and Magic 8 Pro in the lineup, which launched in October 2025.
Honor Magic 8 Pro Air will be unveiled on January 19
The brand took to its official Weibo handle to confirm the existence of the Honor Magic 8 Pro Air. This comes after the subtle Magic 8 Pro Air tease from Honor last week. The brand also reveals the January 19, 2026, date, which is most likely the Magic 8 Pro Air launch date in China.

However, Honor hasn't revealed anything else about the upcoming phone. But thanks to recent leaks, we already know what one of the year's most intriguing compact flagship contenders could offer.
As per leaks, the Magic 8 Pro Air will be an ultra-thin and lightweight phone, measuring just 6.3mm in thickness and weighing around 158 grams. However, it's still not as thin as the iPhone Air, which is just 5.6mm thick.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy S25 Edge also measures 5.8mm in thickness and the newly launched slim Motorola Edge 70 is also thinner at just 5.99mm. There's still no doubt that the Honor Magic 8 Pro Air will be the thinnest phone in the Honor Magic 8 series.

Leaks also suggest that the Honor Magic 8 Pro Air specifications will include a 6.3-inch flat OLED display with a 1.5K resolution. Under the hood, the phone could be powered by the Dimensity 9500 chipset. On the software front, it could run on Android 16-based MagicOS 10.
Further, a 5,500mAh battery is said to be fueling the phone with fast charging support. However, the Honor Magic 8 Pro Air could miss out on fast charging. Not much is known about the phone's cameras, but reports do suggest a telephoto lens in the setup.
