Alongside the release of the Magic V5 foldable phone, Honor has launched the MagicPad 3 tablet in China. The successor to the MagicPad 2 brings nifty enhancements in terms of the processor, display size and battery inside a familiar form factor. 

Honor MagicPad 3 Specifications and Features

The Honor MagicPad 3 gets a slightly larger 13.3-inch 3.2K LCD panel with a resolution of 3,200 x 2,136 pixels, and it can achieve up to 1,000 nits of peak brightness. This display has a refresh rate of 165Hz, which is the highest among any Android tablet out there.

Honor's new flagship tablet is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset which is based on a 4nm process node with the primary cores clocking at 3.3 GHz. This is coupled with up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of storage. On the inside, the MagicPad 3 equips a bidirectional gas-liquid circulation ultra-thin stainless steel vapour cooling and superconducting hexagonal graphite for a combined head dissipation of 38773 mm². 

The MagicPad 3 comes with a 12,450 mAh battery that can fast charge at 66W. This battery uses the company's Honor E2 chip to maintain power efficiency, thus offering 18 hours of offline video playback. All of this is squeezed into a form factor that weighs 595 grams and has a thickness of 5.79 mm.

On the camera front, the new MagicPad shifts from a circular design to a more squircle-ish module. This module is home to the new 13 MP primary f/2.0 sensor and 2 MP macro f/2.4 lens. The selfie camera is a 9 MP unit with f/2.2 aperture. 

The Honor MagicPad 3 runs on MagicOS 9.0.1 based on Android 15. For connectivity, the tablet offers Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, a USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port that supports DisplayPort 1.2. The device comes with a total of eight speakers offering 3D Spatial audio, and it also includes a three-microphone unit. 

Honor has announced the Magic-Pencil 3 and magnetic keyboard with 1.6mm key travel and pressure-sensitive touchpad for the MagicPad 3.

Honor is offering the MagicPad 3 in three colourways – Starry Grey, Moonlight White and Glimmer Gold. The tablet is available in four different configurations, with the base model starting from 2,999 Chinese Yuan (approximately Rs 36,000) in China.
