The HTC Vive Eagle has gone official in Taiwan as the brand's latest smart AI-powered glasses, made in partnership with Taiwan Mobile and 2020EYEhaus. Positioned as a stylish rival to Meta's Ray-Ban glasses, the Vive Eagle offers voice-activated controls, real-time translation and more. The Vive Eagle features a minimalist yet quirky transparent frame, weighing less than 49 grams. It flaunts adjustable nose pads, ergonomic temples and Zeiss sun lenses for comfort and visual clarity.
Meanwhile, the dual open-ear spatial audio speakers use acoustic drivers and enhanced bass to let users enjoy a rich audio experience while staying aware of their surroundings.

The HTC Vive Eagle uses a 12 MP ultra-wide camera that enables hands-free photography and video capture using simple voice prompts like, "Hey Vive, take a photo."
HTC's Vive AI assistant is integrated with OpenAI's GPT and Google Gemini to carry out such actions as well as take notes, record reminders and translate languages without reaching for a phone. Additionally, users can also attend to calls using the single directional and three omnidirectional microphones.
In terms of the camera quality, it can capture photos in a resolution of 3024 x 4032 pixels. As for videos, the Eagle can record them at a resolution of 1512 x 2016 pixels at 30 FPS.

The HTC Vive Eagle takes privacy seriously and well and offers military-grade AES-256 data encryption. There's also a visible LED indicator during video recording. There's also automatic camera deactivation when the glasses are removed or the LED is blocked. HTC is also working toward ISO 27001 and 27701 certifications for Vive AI.

The Vive Eagle are priced at 15,600 Taiwanese dollars (Rs 45,500). Alongside the glasses, users will also get Zeiss sunlenses, a protective case, a charging cable and two years of Vive AI Plus service.
HTC's latest smart glasses are currently only available for pre-ordering in Taiwan, with the pre-order window open till August 31, 2025. Retail sales are set to start from September 1, 2025. The Vive Eagle can be purchased in the Coffee, Berry, Grey and Black colourways.
