New details about Huawei's next clamshell foldable, the Nova Flip S, have emerged, shedding light on its internal hardware. Ahead of its launch, the information reveals that the device could be powered by a new upper mid-range Kirin processor.
Huawei Nova Flip S specs could see slight improvements from predecessor
According to a user Superdimensional on Weibo, Huawei might use the new Kirin 8030 for the upcoming Nova Flip S. However, since it's a completely new chipset, official details about its CPU and GPU are scarce.

Considering the Kirin 8030 will be a slightly improved version of the Kirin 8020, which is already found in the Nova 14 Ultra, we could expect 1x prime core clocked at 2.29GHz, 3 x performance cores at 2.05GHz and 4x efficiency cores clocked at 1.30GHz. The core speeds could be clocked slightly higher on the 8030, but the core configuration could remain the same.
The latest information, alongside the previous Nova Flip S leak, reveals that the device could retain the same design as the previous iteration. It may boast 12 GB RAM and come in 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB storage variants.

The phone is rumoured to arrive in six colours – White, Sakura Pink, Sky Blue, Starry Black, Sand Black and New Green. The new info also reveals that it could run Huawei's latest Harmony OS 5.1 out of the box.
The exact launch timeline of the Nova Flip S is currently unknown, but considering leaks have already started popping up, it won't be too long before Huawei gives us one. Therefore, stay tuned as we will closely follow and report on any new information that surfaces.
