Apple is preparing a major revamp of its Health app with the latest iOS 27.3 Beta 1. The update helps users get a better grasp of their bodily data and offers a better way to get health insights on the fly, among many other features.
Rolling out in the latest iOS 27.3 Beta 1 update, the revamped Health app introduces two primary sections. There's now an Insights tab that acts as a daily dashboard, offering customised recommendations, such as adjustments to users' sleep routines based on consecutive nights of poor rest.

Meanwhile, the new Longevity tab analyses long-term trends across seven categories. It includes heart health, sleep, mental wellbeing, movement, metabolic health, hearing and nutrition. It also calculates a Health Age, which is shown within the Longevity tab.
This metric compares your chronological age against data points like resting heart rate and VO2 max, which can be further refined by adding clinical lab results.
The most notable addition is the movement evaluation feature. It uses the iPhone’s camera along with the Apple Watch to measure the user’s flexibility, strength, balance, movement mechanics and VO2 max. And it doesn't require any specialised equipment.
The Health app also gives real-time audio and visual feedback during these tests. Not to mention, Apple says the analysis happens on the device and the video is not recorded or stored.
Redesigned Health App Availability
Apple has also expanded language support for the new Health app, going beyond US English. It now supports global English, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), French, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, Turkish and Vietnamese.
With global English support, the redesigned Health app should also be available to iPhone users in India. However, Apple notes that some features may vary by region.
Note that the redesigned Health app requires an iPhone or iPad with Apple Intelligence support and some features are limited to the iPhone. In addition, Health Age needs an Apple Watch while the VO2 max test works with an Apple Watch, AirPods Pro 3 or a third-party heart rate sensor.
Apple tested the redesigned Health app in iOS 27.2 beta before the company pulled it. Apple now says the app will roll out to all users later this year and it's expected to arrive with the stable iOS 27.3 update in December.
