Performance has long been iQOO's biggest strength, but the iQOO 16 could see the brand put a stronger focus on the smartphone's design as well. A new leak suggests that the upcoming flagship phone will bring a futuristic-looking camera deco design, unlike any other smartphone.
iQOO 16 Could Get a Sci-Fi-Inspired Camera Module
According to Digital Chat Station (DCS) on Weibo, the iQOO 16 will reportedly use a square camera module with heavily rounded corners. The deco is expected to contain three rear cameras, arranged in a connected layout inside the island, rather than sitting as separate circles like the iQOO 15.

As is evident from the leaked camera module design, the three cameras inside the UFO-like deco contain a single connected point and flow into one another inside the squircle housing. This creates two elongated pill-shaped design which connect all three camera units.
DCS has added that the iQOO 16 camera module will reportedly carry extra detailing around its outer frame, giving it a more mechanical, precision-engineered look. The rear panel of the phone itself is said to be developed using a new manufacturing process.

iQOO Will Launch a Compact Tablet Soon
Moving on, while DCS shared the leaked camera deco design of the iQOO 16, the brand's flagship series Product Manager, Wang Ken, has started teasing a compact tablet. Now, this tablet is expected to launch alongside the iQOO 16.

Ken writes that very soon, the "iQOO family will welcome a very capable little student". He has shared an image in which the product manager has tried to show how small and compact the new iQOO tablet will be compared to a regular-sized tablet.
The device is believed to be a Vivo-made tablet carrying the model number iPA2691, which recently cleared SRRC certification in China. It is tipped to run a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 series chipset and could feature a built-in cooling fan.
The tablet is also expected to be Wi-Fi-only with no cellular support and is squarely aimed at gaming. Other expected features of the compact iQOO tablet include an OLED display, slim bezels and a high refresh rate.
That said, the iQOO 16 is expected to launch in China around October 2026, with an India launch typically following a few weeks later. iQOO has not started teasing the smartphone yet.
However, given that a new tablet has started to emerge, we should hear official details about the iQOO 16 in the coming weeks. So, stay tuned.
