A few days back, the Lenovo Legion Y70 launch in China was officially confirmed, ending the brand's four-year-long hiatus from making gaming phones. It is expected to rival the likes of OnePlus and Honor and ahead of its May 2026 end launch, Lenovo has confirmed some of the phone's key specifications.
Lenovo Legion Y70 Specifications Confirmed
The official Lenovo Legion Weibo account has confirmed that the Legion Y70 will be powered by the capable Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. It has also been revealed to pack a massive 8,000mAh battery and a 2K 144 Hz display.

Moreover, the teaser image also gives us a good look at the design of the Lenovo Legion Y70. It follows a familiar squircle triple rear camera deco design with a visibly large 'LEGION' branding.
The phone is being marketed with the "tailor-made for the AI gaming era" tagline, seemingly hinting at the smartphone's ability to leverage on-device AI to optimise gaming performance. It has been confirmed to bring the Tianxi AI which unlocks connected AI ecosystem and is part of Lenovo AI PCs.
Aside from that, one of the teaser videos also revealed a large 5,500mm² vapour chamber cooling module for the Lenovo Legion Y70. As for the rest, while officially details are still under wraps, leaks point to a large 6.78-inch AMOLED display, a 50 MP main camera and 90W fast USB-C charging for the phone.
That said, Lenovo will launch the Legion Y70 in China on May 19, 2026, at 16:00 CST (or 4:30 PM IST). It will be joined by a new Legion Y900 gaming tablet and Lenovo Yoga Air 14 Ultra gaming laptop and the Motorola Razr Fold book-style folding phone.
