During the Motorola Edge 70+ announcement at IFA 2026, the brand also confirmed that the Motorola Edge 70 Neo is scheduled to launch in the Indian market.
Motorola Edge 70 Neo India Debut in "Coming Months"
The brand's IFA press release primarily highlights the Motorola Edge 70+ launch, along with new accessories such as the Moto Watch Ultra and the Snap Wireless Charger. However, a subtle nod in the availability notes confirms that the Edge 70 Neo will "roll out in India over the coming months".
While the PR doesn't highlight the exact launch date or specifications, the acknowledgement follows recent sightings of the phone running Android 17. Besides, previous Edge 70 Neo renders shared by TheMacObserver point to a flat display with a typical Moto design and a hole-punch display.
The rear panel appears to feature a raised, square-shaped camera module with a triple-lens array. The leaked images also show 200 MP branding on the camera module, suggesting it may boast a 200 MP main sensor. According to the renders, the device could arrive in pink, green, dark Green and light blue colours.
Since Motorola is testing Android 17 on the Edge 70 Neo, and considering the launch is due in the next few months, it could be the first Motorola phone to arrive with Android 17 features out of the box.
For those unaware, Motorola rolled out Android 17 to Moto Signature with features such as a refreshed Quick Settings layout and enhanced home screen personalisation. There are also Android 17-specific features like Failed Authentication lock.
The Motorola Edge 70 Neo will be the newest addition to an already crowded Edge 70 family. For those unaware, the Motorola Edge 70 launched last year, followed by the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion in March 2026, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro in April 2026 and the Motorola Edge 70 Max and Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ in May and June 2026.
