Motorola is all set to enter the thin phone race with the Motorola Edge 70 globally. While the smartphone's launch is yet a few weeks away, leaks and rumours have already spilt most of the beans. Now, the fresh set of renders for the phone has once again given us a glimpse into the design and some of its key specs.
Motorola's first sub 6mm phone is almost here
Dutch tech publication Nieuwe Mobiel has shared what appears to be the official final product listing image of the Motorola Edge 70. It has shown off the smartphone from the front and back, with some of the key specs of the phone.

For starters, as we already know, the Edge 70 will be sleek at 5.99mm. This will make it the slimmest mainstream smartphone when compared to the 5.64mm thickness of the iPhone Air and the 5.95mm width of the Galaxy S25 Edge. The smartphone is also lightweight at 159 grams.
Moreover, the Edge 70 will also lead the pack when it comes to battery capacity. At 4,800mAh, the Edge 70 Air manages to pack atleast 1,500mAh more when compared to the iPhone Air and Galaxy S25 Edge. It also takes the lead with 68W fast USB-C charging.

Aside from that, Edge 70 will also feature a 50 MP main camera, Moto AI and an official IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. It will officially launch in Lily Pad and Gadget Grey colourways.
Also, if you have been following recent Motorola launches, you will know that the upcoming Edge 70 is an identical rebranding of the recently launched Moto X70 Air in China. Hence, aside from what the Edge 70 design and specs leak, we expect the smartphone to ship with the following details as well:
- 6.7-inch 1.5K 120 Hz pOLED display
- Gorilla Glass 7i protection
- Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor
- Hello UI based on Android 16
- 4,800mAh battery with 68W charging
- 50 MP main camera and 50 MP ultra-wide angle lens
- 50 MP selfie camera
That said, the Motorola Edge 70 global launch has been scheduled for November 5, 2025. Hence, in just two weeks time we will know everything that is new with the debut slim phone from Motorola. Expect the device to also launch in India by the end of 2025 or first half of 2026.
