Motorola has unveiled the Moto X70 Air in China, its first device in the new "Air" series focused on thinness. Measuring 5.99mm thick and weighing 159 grams, the phone takes on the likes of Galaxy S25 Edge and iPhone Air, but on a budget.
Moto X70 Air arrives as the slimmest Moto phone in recent years
Starting with the specifications, the Moto X70 Air is equipped with a 6.7-inch 1.5K pOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 4,500 nits of peak brightness. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.

The phone is powered by Qualcomm's latest upper-mid-range SoC, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 with 12 GB RAM and up to 512 GB storage. There's also a 3D Vapour Chamber to keep the thermals in the slim chassis in check.
Reinforcing the device's slimness is a metal frame, which comes with an IP69/69 rating and military grade MIL-STD-810H durability. Camera-wise, the phone features a dual-camera setup on the back with a 50 MP main camera with OIS and a 50 MP ultrawide unit with a 120-degree FoV. Powering the selfies is a 50 MP snapper.

Powering the internals is a rather generous 4,800mAh battery for its size. It can charge at 68W and also supports 15W wireless charging. The phone flaunts Android 16 features right out of the box and comes with Stereo Speakers powered by Dolby Atmos.
As for its availability, the Moto X70 Air arrives in three colours – Gadget Grey, Lily Pad and Bronze. The smartphone starts at 2,599 Chinese Yuan (approximately Rs 32,000) for the 12 GB + 256 GB variant. There's also a 12 GB + 512 GB variant to choose from.
Preorders are now live in China, and the first sale begins on October 31, 2025. The device is expected to launch as the Motorola Edge 70 in India, but we currently don't have information about its potential release date.
