Motorola has been teasing the launch of the Edge 70 Pro+ in India for quite some time now. With the launch date confirmed for next week, the smartphone is expected to bring an elevated camera experience along with some upgrades over the Edge 70 Pro. Now, the leaked Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ Geekbench listing reveals the kind of firepower it will pack.

Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ Could Feature Dimensity 8500

The upcoming Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ has just been spotted on the Geekbench 6.6.0 benchmarking platform with the moniker name itself. The phone has managed to score 1,722 points in the single-core test, while managing 5,623 points in the multi-core test. The test unit is rocking 12 GB of RAM and running on Android 16, likely Hello UI.

Moreover, we also get to see the Geekbench GPU OpenCL score of the Edge 70 Pro+, which is 12,646. Additionally, the listing reveals the Mali-G720 MC8 r0p1 GPU. Meanwhile, on Geekbench AI, the phone has managed to gain 1,042 single precision score, 1,363 half precision score and 1,054 quantised score.

As for the processor, the listings have revealed an octa-core chip with four cores clocked at 2.20 GHz, three cores clocked at 3.20 GHz and one core clocked at 3.40 GHz. Given how familiar the CPU architecture is and all the other hints we got from these listings, we strongly believe the Dimensity 8500 chipset will be powering the phone.

If true, this will mean that the Edge 70 Pro+ will feature the same chipset as the Motorola Edge 70 Pro. This makes sense since Motorola is known to differentiate its "Pro" and "Pro+" models solely based on cameras and battery. Hence, it is no surprise that both phones are powered by the same processor.

While the brand is yet to officially confirm the same, it revealed the Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ camera details and its colour options last week. The phone is confirmed to bring a 50 MP Sony LYT-710 main camera and a 50 MP 3.5x periscope lens, with four different focal lengths - 24mm, 35mm, 50mm and 85mm.

It will be available in three Pantone-validated colour options - Zinfandel (satin luxe finish), Stormy Sea (twill textured) and Chicory Coffee (sculpted wood finish). Edge 70 Pro+ is also revealed to sport a quad-curved AMOLED display

As for the rest, leaks point to a 6.8-inch 1.5K 144 Hz display and a 6,500mAh battery with 90W fast USB-C charging support. The phone is officially launching in India on June 4, 2026, at 12:00 PM IST via Flipkart. Hence, we should know all the details and the phone's pricing in just a few more days. So, stay tuned.
