Recently, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro India launch was teased and it will sit alongside the regular Edge 70 and more affordable Edge 70 Fusion in the lineup. Now, ahead of launch, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro Geekbench listing has surfaced online, giving us a good idea of its performance. Well, it's good news.
Motorola Edge 70 Pro Could Feature Dimensity 8500
Spotted by tipster Abhishek Yadav, the upcoming Motorola Edge 70 Pro has made an appearance on Geekbench 6.6.0 with its moniker itself. The phone has managed to score 1,727 points in the single-core test, while racking up 6,563 points in the multi-core test. Going by the Geekbench listing, we also see the test unit rock 12 GB RAM and run on Android 16-based Hello UI.

As for the processor, the listing has revealed an octa-core chip with four cores clocked at 2.20 GHz, three cores clocked at 3.20 GHz and one core clocked at 3.40 GHz. Given how familiar the CPU architecture is, the listing strongly suggests we are looking at the capable Dimensity 8500 processor.
If true, this will be quite the upgrade since last year's Edge 60 Pro featured the Dimensity 8350 chipset. Hence, with the Edge 70 Pro opting for the Dimensity 8500 instead of the Dimensity 8400, it is clear Motorola is prioritising performance.
The Dimensity 8500 is known for offering consistent gaming results while managing thermal throttling efficiently. Hence, it is a good choice, especially if the upcoming phone manages to launch for under Rs 40,000.
Motorola Edge 70 Pro Design and Specifications (Leaked)
While Motorola has shared very limited information regarding the upcoming phone, multiple leaks have already emerged online. Very recently, the entire Motorola Edge 70 Pro design and colour options leaked, revealing multiple colour options for the phone, including a wood-textured variant.

The phone is expected to launch in India in Pantone-validated colour options with three new finishes - tailored fabric, satin luxe and marble.
As for the Motorola Edge 70 Pro specifications, leaks suggest a 6.7-inch quad-curved 1.5K pOLED display with a 144 Hz refresh rate.
In terms of optics, the phone could sport a 50 MP main rear camera, a telephoto, an ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 50 MP selfie camera.
Battery-wise, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro could pack a bigger 7,000mAh capacity than the 6,000mAh unit powering the Edge 60 Pro. However, it could retain the 90W fast wired charging. Bonus features could include IP68 + IP69 rating, MIL-STD-810H certification, in-display fingerprint scanner and more.
That said, since the brand has started teasing the phone officially, it will not be long before more details are shared. So, stay tuned.
