Last year's Nothing Phone (3) is finally getting many more requested Nothing OS 4.1 features with a new update. The highlight of the latest update is the new Depth effect feature, which makes the lock screen come to life.
Nothing Phone (3) Nothing OS B4.1-260603-1221 Update Changelog
The latest Nothing OS B4.1-260603-1221 update is 536 MB in size and brings the following features to the Nothing Phone (3):
- Phone (3) now supports Depth effect in lock screen customisation, which was first released with the Nothing Phone (4a) lineup earlier this year. However, the feature is now in beta.
- In addition, the Depth effect is now compatible with Atmosphere wallpapers.
- Status bar now displays a dedicated icon of Nothing headphones when they're connected to the Phone (3).
- Improved Nothing launcher animations "for a smoother and more fluid experience".
- Volume slider has been polished to "allow seamless and more precise adjustment when dragging".
Apart from this, the Nothing OS B4.1-260603-1221 changelog also lists optimised audio playback "to prevent unexpected volume fluctuations in certain scenarios." The latest Nothing Phone (3) update also integrates the June 2026 security patch and overall system stability.
Phone (3) users can simply head over to Settings -> System -> System Updates -> Check for update to install the latest Nothing OS B4.1-260603-1221 update.
